About
Sofia Bews is a Maui based Visual Artist of Ecuadorian descent specializing in illustration, painting, photography, printmaking, and collage. She has been creating art for as long as she can remember, exploring her identity through different mediums, and drawing inspiration from the natural elements around her home. Her artistic goals are to conserve and capture moments she dosen’t want forgotten. To communicate emotion felt in life’s fleeting moments is her life's work…ê©œ

-H.P. Baldwin High School- Directed under Janet Sato, iconic local art teacher. Coursework includes painting, illustration, collage, ceramics, and AP art.
-University of Hawaii Windward Community College- Associates in Liberal Arts, coursework includes mixed media and printmaking classes
-University of Hawaii at Hilo- Bachelors in Communication and Minor in Business
-Countless art classes consisting of watercolor, oil paint, illustration, sculpting, ceramics, and mosaic.
